Retirement caravan trip into Victoria, South Aus, and N.T. Far and away highlight of the trip was accompanying Bruce on his mail run from Coober Pedy to Oodnadatta, William Creek and back to CP . Driving to deliver mail to Aussies in remote locations, country sized stations and properties and seeing not only the rugged beauty of this country, but also the inner strength and character of these isolated people. Bruce was amazing and gave insights and commentary into all aspects of the daily run. I HIGHLY recommend Bruce’s mail run tour to experience a unique part of Australia.

Big day out
My wife and I had a great day out with Bruce and Bob. The boys have plenty of knowledge and some great stories to tell. We can’t wait until we can get the time to get back on the road again. Remember Bob, stay in the middle of those washouts.

31 years ago!
I did this tour 31 years ago when I was working in Australia. I was talking about it with a friend this morning, then thought I’d look it up, assuming that it wouldn’t be a ‘thing’ any more. I’m so chuffed to see that it still happens! I had the best day out doing it, it was awesome. Not surprisingly, it looks like a new truck since then! Loved my break for lunch at the Pink Roadhouse Cafe, so pleased to see that still in operation too. Hope you are all well and staying safe from Covid. I’m from the Falkland Islands, and have never been back to Australia in the last 31 years, still hoping to go again one day.

I came to Cooper Pedy, my husband passed away 21 mnths ago from Cancer, I wanted to see where he came 40 years ago, he bought back a small handful of Opals for me….., loved the Mail Run, thankyou, I think its John, great tour guide, loved the stories, I will be back, loved the flight over Lake Eyre….

I can’t wait!
I have always wanted to see Coober Pedy and now we are coming in July! I can’t wait! Apart from Arkaroola, Moolooloo Station and a quick visit to Leigh Creek I haven’t been to the outback so I am really looking forward to it. Have already booked our tour for the Mail Run. I wish we could have done the Painted Desert too but don’t have enough time unfortunately. We look forward to meeting you, see you in July. Regards Sharon Stevens.
